Dr. Newson is a CTE Coordinator in our Career & Technical Division. He has been here
at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ for about 14 years. Before coming to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ he taught Electronics at ITT Technical
Institute in Cordova, Tennessee and also taught middle school Algebra here in Clarksdale.
He received a B.S. in Applied Physics from Jackson State University. He also received
a M.S. in Microelectronics/Photonics Engineering from University of Arkansas. Dr.
Newson additionally received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Jackson
State University. He has been married for about 13 years. He has 3 daughters. In
his spare time Dr. Newson loves fishing, bowling, and reading.
